A widespread perennial grass in arid Australia,
Mountain Wanderrie grows mainly in rocky habitats throughout much of arid and semi-arid tropical Australia. This species grows in tufts that can be up to 40cm high and it is very drought tolerant. Euros (Hill Kangaroos) don’t seem to graze this grass, even when few other plants are available.
