The Olive Pink Opera, produced by the Olive Pink Botanic Garden, is the showcase event in the 2021 Desert Song Festival program.
The opera will be performed on three nights only, (16, 17 and 18 September 2021) in the spectacular setting of the Olive Pink Botanic Garden – the garden that Olive created.

Set in unique locations of outstanding beauty and cultural significance in Mparntwe (Alice Springs), the country of the Arrernte people, the festival program explores the theme of Sustainability through music, song, storytelling, and symposia.
Our cradle is Mparntwe, the country of the Arrernte people, the traditional custodians. Our stages are unique locations of outstanding beauty and cultural significance, including the Olive Pink Botanic Garden.
Throughout the festival of exceptional music-making, choirs and musicians from this vibrant multi-cultural community will come together with artists from across Australia to present over 50 events celebrating the singer, the song, the instrument, the land, and its people.
