Attractive Garden Tree: Red Mallee grows up to 8m and produces masses of creamy yellow flowers. It is a source of much of the honey produced in inland regions. One of the most common and widespread mallees growing in limestone soils in rangeland regions.
Bushfood: Aboriginal people harvested water from it roots in very dry times. The Pitjantjatjara people are reputed to eat the seeds.
