Spinifex – Paintings from the Centre, is an exhibition of paintings on linen by Suzanne Lollback.
Having moved back to Alice Springs in 2018, after an absence of 15 years, Suzanne Lollback has used the subject of spinifex to reconnect with Central Australia and with painting the desert environment. The paintings explore the unique colours and designs of spinifex, whether on sand dunes, over rocks or on gibber stones. Suzanne’s work is held in the Araluen Art Centre, where she held a major exhibition over the 2003/04 summer, and in private collections throughout Australia and the world.
Suzanne will be in attendance on Saturday 16 May 2020 and by arrangement. Drop by and enjoy the paintings and support the Olive Pink Botanic Garden and Bean Tree Cafe which will be open again.
