The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea is coming to the Botanic Gardens, Alice Springs, on Sunday 10th February from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. The screening will be followed by a Q&A, guest speakers and the opportunity to talk to local organisations including Amnesty International who are concerned with asylum seeker and refugee issues.

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea is a 52 minute documentary that tells the stories of asylum seekers who made the impossible decision to become ‘boat people’. Jessie Taylor and her team are taking the film to 30 major cities around the country to share the real experiences of asylum seekers with every day Australians and politicians alike.

Whether you are an advocate for changing the way asylum seekers are treated in Australia, or undecided about the issue of ‘boat people’ – Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea will give you first-hand insight into the circumstances that lead to taking that difficult journey by boat.
