This attractive silver-grey shrub produces purplishpink pea flowers in early summer or after rain. Although very drought tolerant, it is not common in cultivation as it only grows well in free-draining, acidic soils. Many examples of this plant can also be seen on the left hand side of the Wattle Walk. It grows up to 1m on rocky country in the Alice Springs region, parts of northern SA, western Qld and the north-west of NSW.
